Sometimes You Just Don’t Have It
And thats ok!!!! Sometimes you wake up feeling off for absolutely no reason. Maybe you’re tired mentally or maybe your tired physically or maybe you’ve been keeping your head up and holding it together for so long and you finally hit a wall. It can make a person feel bad when they aren’t at their best but you have to give yourself grace. No one is at100 percent 100 percent of the time. When we have those days where we cant achieve absolute peak performance you have to be ok with achieving non-zero.
What Is Non-Zero?
None-zero means lowering the ceiling so to speak. So that you have a goal set of achieving a smaller list of things rather than a huge list of things. It means even if you didn’t accomplish everything you still accomplished something. I am a firm believer in the easiest form of self love just doing things that you promised yourself you would do. And even if that means you only had the capacity to do one thing you gave yourself the love of keeping a promise. the goal doesn’t even have to be anything tangible it can be something remembering to say a prayer or saying something good to yourself in the mirror or something else small. Because, just like small bad habits, small good habits snowball into larger ones.
There Is No Shame
Sometimes when I’m in the gym and I’ve put a little too much weight on the bar and I cant lift properly I have to take some of. I’ll get a little embarrassed thinking “wow did anyone see that and think I’m weak?” And then I remember that I’m doing this for ME. Even if someone does think that what does it matter? The same goes for taking off the metaphorical weight of everyday life. There is absolutely no shame in taking some weight off of yourself when you aren’t at 100 percent, In fact I would think that its more of a detriment to try to carry the weight when you don’t have the capacity because you cant be your best loving self when you’re struggling internally. So have an amazing day and remember to give yourself grace.
