Self Flaking

Have you ever had plans to go out somewhere with friends or a date and when it came close to time to go your entire motivation to go was completely nonexistent so you come up with any reason to be unavailable? If your answer to that question was no you are a much better person than I am because I have done that more times than I can remember. I recently had a consultation where the person that I was meeting with said something really interesting. I was answering a question she asked me about the time that I have to do other things now since being a full time content creator and she described what I said as being “available” for life now, and that word stuck with me. Because when she said that it made me think about how I had been flaking on myself for years.

Putting off things that I wanted to do and telling myself “I’ll get to it later” and never really getting to it. And it seriously hurt to think about because I thought about all of things that I didn’t want to do that I was doing because I convinced myself that I had to. The things that I would tell myself seem so silly now. To be completely honest a large part of the reason for the shift in perspective from flaking on myself to making myself available for life was the passing of a dear friend about a year ago. That event really put into perspective how we really have no idea what the future truly holds and there is no time to put anything on hold especially myself. And it made me take a hard look at everything that I was doing and vow to myself that I would never again do anything that I did not 100 percent want to do and I would do everything that i do want to do.

This is not to be a heavy message but it is meant to be one of truth. We do not have time to put ourselves on hold and we do not have the luxury of knowing the future. We do however have the luxury of being alive while we are so we have to live, we have to take risks, and if we are unhappy we have to take action and liberate ourselves with love.

Creative Consultation

When typing the first paragraph I realized that I have probably never mentioned the consolation business that I started. Its to book an hour slot of time to discuss anything that may be creative related blocking motivations or ask questions about how to get any creative ideas started. I began it because I feel that I have a wealth of knowledge to share as far as believing in and betting on yourself goes. Its an offer based service so there is no fixed cost.
