This is a Pretty Big Deal

This is the first review that a supporter left for my new service and I am so grateful to have been able to help this supporter feel that way. As most of you may be aware, I recently launched a service where anyone can schedule an an hour of time with me to talk. I did this for a couple reasons. The first being that I had a conversation with one of my friends who is a rapper/content creator who challenged me to take providing inspiration for people seriously.

To make a very long story short after a conversation he told me that he felt inspired to make a new musical project and his challenge to me was to put as much effort into this “unused gift” as I put into comedy. The way that I was led to take it seriously was by giving support back to those that support me in the same manner that he felt supported by me.

The second reason I did this is because I have been wanting to have some type of service for a long time. I taught for 7 years from kindergarten to middle and high school and I still have a desire to use the skills that I learned in that profession to help in anyway that I can. So anyone can use this service to block out an hour of time and allow me to hear them and help them to “see themselves.” and it is completely offer based meaning you name your price. How Are YOU Doing??

In all that we have to remember to do on a day to day basis it can be really easy to forget about ourselves. Some have children to care for others have employees or coworkers and maybe family and others might have ALL of the aforementioned to think about. All of that is very very important, but something that I’ve learned very quickly is that you cant take care of anyone if you don’t take care of yourself. How can you pour into others if your pitcher is empty? You may be saying “I know but its a lot easier said that done” and that is true. We always hear “take care of yourself” but its a lot easier to say that than it is to do it.

For a long time the thought would linger on my mind “I know I’m supposed to do it but how am I supposed to take care of myself?”

I would go on vacation and still think about weighing responsibilities, I wouldn’t be able to relax on the weekends because I would think about the weekend ending the whole time. In my personal experience there’s only one way to reverse the doom and stress mindset that crept its way into our lives and that is to slowly “creep” a peaceful mindset back in.

I know that’s a weird way to say that but it’s true. We weren’t always hyper concerned and worried, one day we just woke up and things like the amount of money in our bank account or how an outfit looks started to matter little by little and eventually it became big to us. We have to intentionally do the same thing if we want to turn that stress into peace. Every day little by little you do things like say nice things to yourself or enjoy something just for the sake of enjoying it and eventually those little things become big. Something that I like do is take note of one good thing that happened during the day in the notes section on my phone every night at 9pm.

Mindset shift IS tough but it CAN be done. There is a book that I’d like to recommend called The Game Of Life and How To Play It. It is a book about how to slowly take control of your mindset and be the driver of your thoughts of emotions not the passenger. I truly enjoyed it and it was the starting point of my self actualization journey. I will recommend more things like this as we proceed. Thank you for reading all of this! It will be shorter next time I promise.

P.S. Its my birthday week, I’m at Universal having an absolute blast. Say Hi if you’re here!
